2012 Updates

May 3, 2012:  Only one week left!  Advanced Negotiations looks like it's a go with 10 registrants.  As far as a round count for the team competition. . . plan on about 50 rifle rounds and 20 pistol rounds.  This is a high estimate in case you miss a lot.  Should be less.   We have also updated course equipment requirements, so please double check those.

April 24, 2012:
The Advanced Negotiations course is actually only 3.5 days, just like everything else.  As of now we only have 5 people signed up, so tell your negotiators to get signed up before we have to cancel the class.

April 18, 2012:
The IC presentation has been moved to the morning with the IC Luncheon to follow.  You'll be done by 1300 as the Vendors get ready for you.  See the IC Luncheon course description for the details of the presentation.  Please plan on stopping by the vendor show before you leave.  If you stay late enough you'll also get in on the BBQ.

April 16, 2012:
We're working on a great presentation through NTOA for the Tuesday afternoon IC Luncheon.  More details to follow, but an Incident Commander from a large scale, multi-agency manhunt involving multiple state, local, and Federal agencies should be here to give you his perspective on commanding such an incident.  Following his presentation our Vendor show will again be packed, and should be a good time with food and drinks provided.  Please plan on attending.

April 10, 2012:
The last board meeting went well and we're looking forward to a great conference.  Breakfast at the cafeteria on base has been situated better this year, and vendors are falling into place.  We still need a few role players on Wed and Thurs for the Active Shooter class.  A tentative sponsor has stepped up to the plate for the IC Luncheon and that agenda is posted.

A block of rooms at the LaQuinta has also been reserved if you're not staying on base.

Check the sponsors page for an MSTOA coupon code
from Selway Armory on Propper clothing.

April 9, 2012:  Doug Pechtel with Countermeasures had to cancel due to military obligations.  He has recommended a replacement, Kyle Jorgensen, SRT Commander with DOE.  He comes highly recommended by Doug, and we're glad to have him back and involved with MSTOA.

February 2012:  Registration is open and we have some world class instruction again this year.  Sign up now before your first choice is full.

MSTOA Conference 2012 - May 7th - 10th

The 2012 Conference will again include 3 1/2 full days of training starting Monday morning and ending at noon on Thursday.  The team competition will be Thursday afternoon and will be followed by our annual MSTOA banquet, awards ceremony, and raffle.

Expect to see another banner year with great instructors, vendors, and attendees.
