Course Instruction & Instructors
We don't get too caught up in the instructor status thing. We do provide a
short bio here so that you know who your instructors are.
As any skilled operator knows from experience, a course is only as good as its
content and effective presentation to you the operator. We do spend hundreds of
hours behind the scenes preparing and designing our courses so that we can give
you realistic skills in the short time we have with you.
Some of you know us and your course comments have reflected our commitment to
provide the best possible training we can in the time we have available to us.
NOTE: We specialize in 'Real World Operations', by this you should understand
that we teach operators to work in the real world and not in general battlefield
conditions. My own experience started in Northern Ireland in the early 80s where
we worked in public to counter terrorists in support of the local police.
Basically, I worked in Northern Ireland for two years in a high risk, full time
SWAT team role.
Such things as, indiscriminate fire or clearing rooms with a machine gun or hand
grenade are not and never have been acceptable. We have never worked that way
and we don't teach that way. Our special operations experience is the same as
the street environment with shoot and no shoot rules of engagement just like
SWAT operators on the streets today.
We have spent time studying state and federal statutes so that we know exactly
what conditions you operate under. We do not sit back on our laurels and pretend
we know everything. We attend other courses around the country, spending
hundreds of hours a year in training to keep our skills current, in order to
bring that knowledge and experience to you on our programs.
The Lead Instructor for this program is:
Rob Sivill. A former British Army Soldier in the 80's, now he teaches a number
of training courses to private corporations, law enforcement and the US
military. Rob has thousands of hours of Tactical Operations experience in places
such as Northern Ireland, The Middle East, Central America & Asia.
Other subject matter expert instructors and support staff are used as required
and subject to availability.
